HealthApp

Surfaces

One sky, several surfaces.

HealthApp is an iPhone app with a real Apple Watch companion, seven home-screen widgets, three complications and Siri on both devices. This page is what runs where — including the places the two devices deliberately differ.

Designed for iPhone Apple Watch companion app 7 widgets · 3 complications Applies to HealthApp 1.7.0

What runs where

Two devices, and one of them is not a mirror of the other.

iPhone
The full app: all five pillars, the libraries, chapters, the atlas, and everything you can write.
Apple Watch
A companion app, not a mirror. It has its own screens and its own Siri phrases, built for the things you do without reaching for a phone — water, a breathing reset, how you feel, starting a workout.
iPad
Runs in iPhone compatibility mode. It works, and it is not designed for iPad — we would rather say so than let the App Store listing imply otherwise.
Android
Not available. The account system is platform-agnostic, so an Android app would work with your existing account on day one — but none has been built.

The same sky, wherever you happen to look.

Five pillars light five stars. That constellation is the app’s whole model of a week, and it is the thing every surface shows — at whatever size that surface has.

On the phone

The full sky

Every pillar, every entry, every chapter. The place you write things down.

On the home screen

Your sky at a glance, tonight, today’s table — without opening anything.

On the watch face

Your Sky, Mind and Water, sitting where you already look.

Siri, and why the two devices differ

The phrase sets are not the same, and the difference is deliberate rather than an oversight.

On iPhone
Say Log water in HealthApp or Start wind-down in HealthApp. Tell HealthApp what I ate is a Pro feature, because it costs us an AI call.
On Apple Watch
Say Log water in HealthApp, Breathe with HealthApp, Tell HealthApp how I feel, Start a workout in HealthApp or Ask HealthApp what to do next.
The one that trips people up
The watch has Start a reset in HealthApp, not “start wind-down”. Wind-down is an evening routine you shape on the phone; the reset is one minute of breathing you can start from your wrist.

These phrases are checked against the app’s own intent definitions every time the site is built. That check exists because this page’s ancestor got it wrong — it once claimed three iPhone phrases also worked on the watch, and they did not. A quoted phrase is a factual claim, so it is treated as one.

What connects in

Each one is optional and off until you turn it on.

Apple Health
Two-way, per category, with your permission. HealthApp reads steps, sleep, heart rate and more, and writes back workouts, weight, water, mindful minutes, meals and your daily mood. Sleep is read-only. Every category, both directions →
Oura
Optional. Readiness, sleep and activity scores, temperature deviation, HRV, sleep stages and workouts. What it asks for, and what it stopped asking for →
Open Food Facts
Barcode scanning, free. The barcode is sent; nothing about you is.
Nothing else
There is no ad network, no data broker, and no partner receiving your health data. Security.

Five pillars. One sky. Every screen you own.

Free to start, and the widgets, complications and Siri phrases are free with it.
