HealthApp

Integration

Oura, if you wear one.

Optional, off until you turn it on, and narrow by design: HealthApp asks Oura for the two things it actually reads and nothing else. Your ring’s readiness, sleep and activity scores then sit beside the rest of your day rather than in a separate app.

What HealthApp reads from your ring

The last two weeks, refreshed when the app syncs.

Readiness
Your daily readiness score, and temperature deviation.
Sleep
Sleep score, sleep stages, average HRV and lowest heart rate for the night.
Activity
Your daily activity score.
Workouts
Workouts the ring recorded. They arrive tagged as coming from the ring, and Apple Health imports skip Oura-sourced entries while you are connected, so nothing is counted twice.

The permissions it asks for — and the three it dropped

This changed on 25 August 2026, and the change was in your favour.

Asks for
Daily summaries and workouts. That is everything the app reads.
Used to also ask for
Heart-rate time series, guided sessions and blood-oxygen history — none of which the app has ever read. They were on the consent screen for no reason, so they were removed.
If you connected before that
Nothing changes for you and nothing is required of you. The narrower request applies to new connections; an existing one keeps what it was granted until you disconnect and reconnect.
Where the tokens live
On your device. The sign-in exchange passes through a small Clifford Corp service because Oura’s token step needs a secret that cannot ship inside an app — and that service stores nothing.

Asking someone to hand over their heart-rate time series and blood-oxygen history in order to show a readiness score is not a small thing on a consent screen. The list should be the shortest one that works, and it is now checked against the endpoints the app actually calls every time the site is built.

Turning it off

Disconnecting
Stops the sync immediately. The scores already pulled stay in your history, because they are part of your record.
Deleting your account
Removes them along with everything else. How to delete.
Oura’s side
Revoke HealthApp’s access from your Oura account at any time, independently of anything you do here.

Your ring’s numbers, beside the rest of your day.

Optional, free, and narrower than it used to be.
